Blog 0: My personal relationship with the English language
My personal relationship with the English language has varied over time. As a child, I loved learning words in this language and playing at being fluent, but time passed and I changed schools many times and that left me with a void in the process of learning the language. However, when I reached the pre-teen stage I became obsessed with a musical group called One Direction, which revived my motivation with the English language so I could understand their songs.
But over time this obsession ended and I was unable to acquire a solid foundation in the English language, which often leads to frustration.
My personal goal now is to learn the language in the most friendly way possible, so that I won’t longer experience learning English as an obligation or a frustration, but as a process to be able to communicate and learn more about other cultures 💚.
